Perez rules out Kane bid

Real Madrid president, and all round Spurs nemesis, Florentino Perez has insisted that the Galacticos have no interest in signing our star striker Harry Kane, whom he believes is valued at €250 million.(£220m GBP)

The Walthamstow born England international has been in stunning form for club and country throughout 2017, scoring an astonishing 45 goals in just 40 games.

With such excellent scoring exploits, links are emerging all the time and more often than not with with Real, with reports in the Spanish press claiming that Perez had initiated talks with Daniel Levy following the 1-1 draw in last weeks Champions League tie at Wembley.

However, Perez has dismissed such suggestions and he believes that it would take a world-record fee to get the Spurs hierarchy even to think about selling their prized asset.

“Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head. He is a great player and in addition he is young,”:Perez told Spanish radio station Cadena COPE.

Perez continued: “He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with [Karim] Benzema and with all of the team.

“I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m.”

So is that a sign that Madrid are ready to back off, for now. It isn’t beyond the realms of all possibilities that Kane is actually happy at Spurs, enjoying his football and living the dream. He may move on one day when nearer retirement. Loyalty is rare in football, he should be commended for it.
