Sebastien Bassong - Tottenham Hotspur News

Sebastien Bassong has insisted that he wants regular first team football.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender has made made just one substitute’s appearance in the Premier League this season and is prepared to move in January if need be.

“I can’t lie, it was very frustrating,” Bassong told The People. “I thought they would let me go, as they have a lot of cover in that position.

“I know they have to look after themselves, but I have to look after myself and my career.

“If I don’t play, I want to move, be that QPR or somewhere else. I now just want to play.”

Fair enough that you want to play every week mate and also that you wish to further your career. However, you are not the only player in the Prem who is in his teams' squad primarily as back up to the first choice selections.
Would be interesting to know if Monsieur Bassong would be willing to take a pay cut to ensure regular first team football? Doesn't happen very often though does it?

Amazing he gets his chance & we concede 2 goals….thats why you are number 4 in the pecking order.Just when I thought we were going to see the King notch up another fine performance.
  5. JoeSpur says:
@Jonno : u mean 5th choice, he is behind king, dawson, kaboul, gallas…

Bassong is a dissater when playing against Newcastle. The 1st goal conceded due to his error leaving BA un-guarded. This insaint as we can feel the absence of King due to injuries..U wanna leave than fuck of..u add no value to our team Mighty Tottenha.

Please move then because your shite, as was demonstrated yesterday. Dreadful defending is what lost us the game. Shocking positional play by the defenders literally gave the game away. Harry needs to get grips with this asap. There were players virtually strolling back or tracking back for both goals…awful.

BASSONG DIDNT LOSE US THE GAME! its a collective game blaming him when OTHER players where out of position.
shear greediness of fullwards who cant pass to each other cost us Defoe and Adybayor .if Defoe had the brain of vdv he would be dangerous Harry and positional play modders wide left then right against newcastle i really dispair
    work horses in midfield

understand the frustration people but the scary thing is we have 2 fit centre backs for at least the next 2-3 weeks so i'd suggest enough of the negativity and a bit more support. Bassong with a bit of confidence would be a very good defender indeed.
  10. Acton_Yid says:
Defoe and Adebayor greed lost Tottenham the win, not Bassong's defending…
