PLAYER RATINGS: Everton 0-1 Tottenham

Hugo Lloris – He had quite an easy game as he was not tested for most parts of the game. He was commanding in his area and had couple of decent saves, especially against Mirallas.

Eric Dier – The young Englishman had quite a decent game as he provided the assist for Kane with a beautiful cross. He was sound at the back and did not make any big mistakes to put his defence under pressure.

Jan Vertonghen – The Belgian had his best game of the season, too bad that it was the last game of the season. Every tackle and interception he tried, he came out on top. He also was superb on the ball, either dribbling with purpose or finding his teammates.

Federico Fazio – The Argentine was decent enough but it has to be said that Everton played to his strengths. He dealt with crosses easily while managing Lukaku with his strength.

Nabil Bentaleb – He started at left-back unusually but played superbly. He was great at the back, as he was calm and did not take any risks. He also helped his attackers by providing width with his bursts forward.

Moussa Dembele – He had one of his usual games as he was commanding in the middle of the pitch but providing little in the attacking third. He was subbed off early in the second half.

Ryan Mason – The midfielder started off lively with some decent runs forward but fizzled out afterwards. He played some good balls forward but most of his activity in the second half came on the defensive end.

Erik Lamela – He tried to be the main playmaker again today but Pochettino’s line-up selection did not help him as the middle of the park was filled with attacking midfielders. He should have scored in the opening minutes but his shot was saved by Howard. He showed his quality by keeping the ball well under pressure but he was subpar at best.

Christian Eriksen – He must be relieved that the season is over as he, once again, could not make his mark on the game. He started well by creating some good chances for Lamela and Kane but his activity dropped dramatically later on.

Nacer Chadli – He was again underwhelming in a game he failed to score. His crosses failed to find their marks and he slowed down the game every time he picked up the ball.

Harry Kane – He finished a superb season with another goal as he scored a great header from a great cross by Dier. He was often caught offside in the game and did not impact the game much apart from his goal.

Subs

Benjamin Stambouli – Came on for Dembele and played in front of his back four. He had a good game and helped his team secure the win.

Andros Townsend – He came on for Kane but he did nothing to mention.

Roberto Soldado – He made a really late appearance.
