PLAYER RATINGS: Sheffield United 2-2 Tottenham

Michel Vorm – He could not have prevented either of the Sheffield United goals but he was really lucky not to concede early on after a terrible mistake.

Kyle Walker – He was always attacking and running up and down the pitch. His defending was on par and had a decent game all around.

Ben Davies – He was left alone by Eriksen to contain Campbell-Rice but he did a decent job. He could have prevented the cross for the first goal but Pochettino cannot complain about his performance.

Eric Dier – He paired up with Vertonghen really well and defended everything United threw at him. He could have done better in the first goal and could have done nothing to stop the second.

Jan Vertonghen – The captain for the night did a really good job keeping United at bay while providing decent passes from the back for his midfielders.

Benjamin Stambouli– The Frenchman provided a classy defensive midfielder performance tonight as he stopped Sheffield United’s counter attacks with ease while providing energy from deep.

Christian Eriksen – He showed his class in two occasions and took his team to the final almost single-handedly even though he played on the left. He scored a beautiful free kick in the first half and a slick goal inside the box in the second half.

Ryan Mason – He provided a great midfield display as he was energetic, active and intelligent. He made great runs, made some good passes and carried the ball really well. He could have scored if his first touch had not let him down.

Moussa Dembele – Started as Spurs’ number 10 and had a really good performance. He gave United defence all sorts of problems with his runs and passes.

Erik Lamela – The Argentinean worked hard to press the United back-line but he provided close to nothing on the attacking side.

Harry Kane – The striker returned to his favourite lone striker role and he had some really decent chances. He drove the ball with energy and power and gave a lot of problems to the opposition defence. If his finishing was a bit better, he could have scored multiple goals.

Subs

Paulinho – He came on for Dembele and provided energy and protection to back four.

Andros Townsend – He came on for Lamela late on but had no impact on the game.

Danny Rose – Made a really late entrance to see off the Sheffield United attacks.
