Gomes (7) - Not much to do, did it all with no fuss.

Corluka (7) - Same as ever. Solid, skilful and enterprising. Picked out Modric’s runs well.

Assou-Ekotto (7) - Given the normal lack of help from Modric in front of him he got forward well. Should do better with his crossing sometimes.

King (7) - Made it through the ninety minutes!

Dawson (7) - Another reliable performance.

Lennon (8) - Made both goals, gave West Ham nightmares down his side.

Modric (7) - Didn’t look match fit but still played with inventiveness. Took goal well.

Palacios (7) - Another excellent exhibition of running and chasing. One beautiful ball out to Lennon in the first half.

Huddlestone (7) - Distributed well and was a presence in midfield all afternoon.

Defoe (7) - Struggled to find room until the later stages when the game stretched out. Made the most of it then with a thunderous shot for his goal.

Crouch(7) - Kept going until the end despite buffeting from back four and midfield.
