PLAYER RATINGS: West Ham 2-0 Tottenham

Hugo Lloris – It is so sad that he is probably going to leave this summer. He pulled off save after save and commanded his area against West Ham’s constant aerial attacks. It was an amazing game from him and he stole the show even though his team lost.

Kyle Naughton – He was the best of the worst today as he was the only defenseman who dealt with his assignment relatively easily. Diame not being a natural winger helped his cause though.

Younes Kaboul – Did not show much in the first 25 minutes he was on the game and he received a red card after being put in a difficult situation against Downing.

Michael Dawson – Shambolic defending from the captain as he did not look like a Premier League defender at times. Allowed too much space to Nolan and Noble in the area and he should thank his keeper for keeping the score line at 2 – 0.

Danny Rose – He was almost anonymous on the attack and he gave away the ball that led to Downing’s goal. A forgettable afternoon for the left-back as he proves Spurs’ need for a left-back yet again.

Aaron Lennon – He almost forgot his pace as he never even tried to beat McCartney down the flank. He should be sitting on the bench if he is not even going to use his only ability.

Paulinho – I don’t understand why Chelsea is interested in him and he proved me right today. He did not offer anything on both sides and allowed Downing to score by moving away from the ball.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – He did not look comfortable as the second man of a two-man midfield and did not show his creative abilities today. He was rightfully subbed in 66th minute.

Christian Eriksen – Usually the only good player in Tottenham’s losses this season, he was again at class higher than his teammates. He was the only Spurs player who looked even vaguely threatening but he couldn’t break down the West Ham defence by himself.

Emmanuel Adebayor – He was the worst player on the pitch without a doubt and the fact that he was worse that Dawson says a lot. He did not try to do anything, did not commit himself to the game and he looked like he did not want to play this game. He even gifted West Ham a goal by forgetting how to stand in a wall.

Harry Kane – Looked keen on scoring as he pressed the West Ham defence with enthusiasm. He couldn’t have done anything about the own goal and was subbed after 28 minutes.

Subs

Vlad Chiriches – He doesn’t seem like the player who made Tottenham fans like him at the start of the season. He doesn’t give anybody confidence and he missed his man at times.

Sandro – Replaced Paulinho but he couldn’t offer anything after the game was already over.

Roberto Soldado – His confidence is still not there and it doesn’t look like he is going to score for a long time. There is always next season though as we still hope he’ll justify the money Levy spent on him.
