Raul linked once again with Tottenham

News | idv | July 21, 2010 at 1:27 pm

Real Madrid striker Raul has once again been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 33-year-old is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer, ending an 18-year spell with the Spanish giants.

Agent Barry O’Connor, who holds the mandate from Real to find Raul a club in England, admits there has been interest.

“With a player of this pedigree there is always a lot of interest but nothing will happen until Real Madrid give the official go-ahead that he can leave,” O’Connor told The Sun.

    33

  2. Indyfan says:

A wonderful player, great finisher. Question is does he still have the pace and fitness needed to succeed in the EPL at age 33? Maybe a so-called impact sub?

  3. Spurs says:

Raul noooo wot are we going to do with this grandad

  4. Papillon says:

We need him. He can score goals and even create goals for others. Intelligent player who will cause problems to defences in any team. Will be a great boost for the lads in terms of morale and experience he have had playing in Chams League. C'mon Harry, GET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

33 43 or 53 I would love to see Raul play for our club.

  6. Tottenham07DP says:

Hell yes, totally agreed, he brings valueable experience most importantly in CL, has scored something like 70 goals in CL alone, record scorer for club and country, is much better than the likes of Bellamy, Keane, Gudjiohsnen etc

  7. Spursforme says:

Will not happen, lets hope all this scratching around by the red tops means we are getting better at keeping our real targets under wraps until we actually sign them.

  8. Cross says:

His wages worry me more than his age.

  9. John Cahill says:

He may be old but he's used to playing in the toughest league in the world,so if he comes to the premiership it will be a lot easier for him.So expect him to have a similar impact as Klinsman who was round about the same age.
