Redknapp admits he may bring in a defender

Tottenham could look to bring in a central defender during the January transfer window.
Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate are still sidelined through injury, leaving Harry Redknapp short of defensive cover.
“If I’ve only got two centre-halves and Ledley’s long-term, it’s going to be a problem, we’ll have a look at it for sure,” he continued.
“Tom (Huddlestone) could play there but if he’s injured as well, that is the problem. Wilson Palacios could probably play there at a pinch but you wouldn’t want to go and play 16-17 games with him at centre-half so it’s something we’re looking at again.”

Redknapp seems tentative with his enquiry about loaning Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Harry is loyal to Keane Crouh and Defoe thats great, but WTF seriously if we have any chance to get Ruud proven quality striker, why wouldn’t he do anything possible to cement this deal, I think he could be crucial in our attempt to earn CL spot. He is without a doubt a better striker than, Crouch, Keane, or Pavlychenko, Harry keeps banging on about his wealth of striking options and how much quality up front we possess. Defoe is awesome, howvever Crouch, and Keane are far from convincing and Pav has staled on the bench.
Spurs boss has now gone on to explain his interest in the Real Madrid striker has not been followed up to any real extent.
“I don’t even think we’ve gone that far,” admitted Redknapp.
“It was just his name cropped up and Ian Broomfield, the chief scout, spoke with his agent and that’s as far as it’s gone really.
“I’ve got four strikers here at the moment so I certainly don’t want five, it would be a bigger problem, I don’t need that problem.”
Harry is use to being in a relegtion scrap, now we are sitting pretty in the top for he is scared to tinker with the side and is hesistant to make the decisions required to make that top four spot ours, I really hope if we let Ruud go it will won’t come back to haunt us at the end of the season.
Lately we have struggled to finish off the lower sides in tight games, Keane and Crouch have been far from Clinical, …….get Ruud, if we fail bring in Huntelaar, who we should have moved for first time.
