Harry Redknapp has compared Scott Parker to Tottenham legend Dave Mackay.

Parker was superb in the middle of the park during the 3-1 win against QPR on Sunday and his performance reminded Redknapp of the Spurs great.

“Scott was just amazing,” said Redknapp. “I haven’t seen many performances like that.

“You hesitate to mention him in the same breath as Dave Mackay – who was one of best players who has ever played at this club – but it was right up there with Dave.”
