Redknapp hails Carlo attitude

Harry Redknapp has lavished praise on returning goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, after the Italian signed a new one year deal with Tottenham.
Cudicini suffered a nasty motor accident last year, in which he suffered two broken wrists and a fractured pelvis.
He is back in training now and will be working throughout the summer with goalkeeping coach Tony Parks in a bid to regain fitness.
And Redknapp praised the 36-year-old’s attitude towards his career, when most might have called time on it.
“It is great to see Carlo out on the training pitch again after everything he has been through. He is coming on fantastic and training well.
“If anyone was going to come back from something like this, it would be him.
“He is dedicated, a top professional through and through, and has been there every Saturday to support the side.
“He has been brought up in the game – his father was a great goalkeeper at AC Milan and Carlo is exactly the same, a top-class person and professional.”

As for Alnwick, I've never felt he's going to make it in the premiership as a No.1 and I wouldn't be distraught to see him leave (maybe a season on loan in the Championship to see if he can cut it at a higher level than the reserves).
That being said – I think it'd be a good idea to get a new number two in to push Gomes and offer dependable cover if he gets injured. Gomes was outstanding this year, but if he took a nasty knock and was out for more than a few weeks, that could really hurt us (especially now we're in the CL). Not sure who would fit the bill however!
