Spurs boss Harry Redknapp hailed his “outstanding” team after the 3-1 win against QPR at White Hart Lane.

A brace from Gareth Bale and another from the in-form Rafael van der Vaart stretched our”They changed how they played, got it forward and played with more intensity in the second half but Gareth finished them off with a great goal.

Redknapp told Sky Sports: “Suddenly they got a lifeline at 2-1 and it changes games so that third goal was important. I said at half-time we shouldn’t relax in the second half but, to be fair to them, they came out and raised their game.

“Overall we were outstanding today.”

    We were fantastic, especially in the first half, quarter pound of rubbish (sorry, old school joke) hardly got a touch. But for some reason, and not for the first time, we came out for the second half looking a completely different side. I just don’t get it. It’s like they all eat steak and kidney pudding and down five pints of guiness in their fifteen minutes down time. We need to come out fighting and biting. We did the same at Blackburn and Newcastle and it nearly cost us again today. You can tell I love spurs, even after such a good performance I’m still having a moan up.

    The reason for our passion for spurs is that we are still not good enough to beat everyone week in week out convincingly. And those periods when we lead 2-1,…..best experience for a spurs supporter although not for the faint hearted. And we have not had a clean sheet for a while
