Redknapp on Pav goal

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was delighted to see Roman Pavlyuchenko net the winner their Europa League Group A clash with Rubin Kazan.

Redknapp revealed on Wednesday that he would reluctantly consider offers in January for the Russia striker, who has slipped down the pecking order at White Hart Lane.

Pavlyuchenko provided the perfect response with a brilliant free-kick tonight to secure the three points and send Spurs top of the pool.

“He’s a fantastic striker of the ball,” Redknapp told Channel Five.

“He’s got two great feet. Technically he’s a top, top player – there was never any doubt about that. It was good to see him score.”
