Redknapp pleased with Bentley performance

David Bentley returned to the Tottenham starting line-up and pleased Harry Redknapp with his performance.

With Niko Kranjcar sidelined through illness, Redknapp turned to Bentley to make a rare start and rewarded his boss by scoring the second goal in the 2-0 win against Fulham.

“I’m well pleased with David tonight. He came in and gave a good performance,” praised the manager.

“He is a very talented player and he showed that. This is what we ask from him, that he can come in and take his opportunities.”

I was impressed with him tonight, thought he played well.

He brought more balance to the team. Modric was much more effectove on the left. He and Bale combined well. I guess Kranjcar has to settle for the bench from now on.
