Rumour – Spurs defender hands in transfer request

Rumours are circulating that Sebastien Bassong has handed in a transfer request at Tottenham.
The 24-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle United in August 2009 for £8million on a five-year-deal. Apparently Spurs are willing to allow Bassong to leave as long as they recoup the transfer fee.
Bassong has failed to break into Harry Redknapp’s regular first-team plans despite injuries to Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King. He still finds himself behind Michael Dawson, William Gallas and Younes Kaboul in the central defensive options at White Hart Lane.
He held talks with Harry Redknapp in January over his future but could now be on his way back to France with a possible move to Paris St Germain.

He’s a good young player who’ll benefit from Europa and CC runs next season if he stays
Whoever he goes too will do well, I actually think he would do well at Arsenal….just add Hutton 6m, Keane 6m, O'Hara 6m, Giovani 5m, Pav 10m and Krancjar (altho I luv him) 8m., Bentley 7m…thats 50million our squads trimed by 7 players
Then we make big decisions on players like Gomes, Defoe, Woodgate, and Corluka
Sign Marin, Falcao and get Walker back from Loan
I think your outgoings and figures are about right. I think Defoe will stay and, although he's had a poor season interrupted by injuries and terrible challenges (on him), Corluka's a classy defender. He also provides cover at centre back. Walker will be back for sure.
Who's this Falcao chap we keep hearing about?
