Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent is unaware of rumours linking QPR with the out-of-favour Tottenham striker.

Pav’s agent was even quoted as suggesting that the rumours could be coming from inside the Spurs boardroom.

“This is the first time I’ve heard about the interest of QPR,” commented Artemov to Sport Express.

“We haven’t talked to this team and neither with those teams which are called ‘potential buyers’ in the press.

“Maybe these rumours are spread by Tottenham president (Daniel) Levy.

“Will he (Pavlyuchenko) leave the team in January? We shouldn’t say anymore at the moment.”

    Straight to the point yes!, but only if a suitable replacement that is not UEFA cup tied can be found and signed.

      I don't think we should limit ourselves when buying stikers as to whether they are cuptied or not. The league is the most important thing, if we manage to bring in strikers that are good enough for the league, then Ade and others can always play in the cups if needed. The quality of strikers we should be after (coming from Europe) are likely to also have be playing in Europe. We should not rule good strikers out.

    fifa rules mean that if any ‘potential buyers’ want Pav they have to 1st speak to Spurs not the agent!!! when a fee is agreed they will let u know, unless your chelsea who go straight to the player to unsettle!!

    Last year he was one of he culpritos who killed our chances of playing in the European Championship. There is no progress in his performance that we can rely on. Yes, he should go. We do not need anymore deadwood.

    Whoever wrote this is very stupid- how can Pav's agent suggest that the rumours were coming from within the spurs boardroom when apparently he was unaware of them???
