VIDEO: Sergio Ramos refuses to be drawn on Bale speculation

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Gareth Bale with a move to the Spanish giants.

The Madrid full-back was speaking at a press conference and his comments are certainly a lot milder compared to when he spoke to the press in late May when he was quoted in The Sun as saying: “Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid-quality signing. He has had an exceptional season. He can punish any team in the world and has the footballing qualities we look for in Madrid.

This time around, Ramos said it was “not my place to see if he needs to come to the team”.

The club are understandably keen to hold on to their star man and manager Andre Villas-Boas recently called on the forward to end speculation about his future by signing a new deal at White Hart Lane. However many fans are now resigned to the fact that Bale could be about to depart the club.
