Redknapp reveals he wanted to sign winger

Harry Redknapp has revealed that he would like to have signed Shaun Wright-Phillips.

The England international joined QPR from Manchester City during the summer and the Spurs boss is a big admirer.

“I’ve always liked him and thought he was a talent,” Redknapp said.

“I didn’t go in for him this time, but I’ve tried a couple of times in the past. I would have liked to have had him, he’s a real talent and at the moment he’s playing with real confidence.

“We’ve only got Aaron Lennon in that position and he’s had injuries. That has been a problem for us.”

Shuan wright Phillips is a real threat and should be watched but we have Lennon and Walker speed too stop him.

I did, I met him in Aldi yesterday in Sandibanks and we had a chat. He has decided hes not going for him now.
