Tim Sherwood has been granted a new role at Tottenham after being appointed as technical co-ordinator.

Sherwood has been working as a part-time coach since Redknapp took charge and his new role will be to manage and co-ordinate player development across all squads.

This will include the supervision and monitoring for loan placements, technical coaching and physical improvement.

Chris Ramsey, currently assistant academy manager, will assist Sherwood alongside Les Ferdinand.

Sherwood said of his new role, “We will be geared towards ensuring players at all levels are achieving their full potential in order to optimise their position at the club – always with a view to benefitting first-team player selection.

“Chris Ramsey brings a vast knowledge of youth and academy football, both from being at this club and elsewhere, having also previously worked with senior professionals. He will be a great asset to us.”
