Tottenham Hotspur fans will be excited enough with the Champions League final on the horizon, but if recent transfer rumours are to believed, that excitement could go through the roof.
This week, L’Equipe claimed that Tottenham have made a significant contract offer to the highly-rated French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The same outlet rated Ndombele at £87m earlier this season.
Ndombele has been in incredible form for Lyon this season, most notably in the win over Manchester City in the Champions League.
The midfield maestro has everything Spurs need at the moment, pace, power, and drive, all the attributes they lost in the engine room when selling Mousa Dembele.
Le 10 only added fuel to the fire in the last couple of days, as the French media outlet claimed Spurs were in pole position to sign the player, despite interest from PSG and Juventus.
Unsurprisingly, Spurs fans took to Twitter to voice their giddy joy at the potential of this deal.
