TOTTENHAM’S hopes of siging Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole look to be over.
Harry Redknapp gave the England international his debut at West Ham Unied and had set his sights on brining him to White Hart Lane.
The 27-year-old is close to agreeing a new four-year deal after impressing the Chelsea staff during the summer with his dedication to getting back to fitness after he picked up a knee injury in January.
Cole had thought to be one of Tottenham’s main transfer targets for the summer.
