Spurs face tricky test in Champions League group

Tottenham Fans Flags

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn in Group A of the Champions League, alongside reigning champions Inter Milan.

In their maiden Champions League campaign, Spurs will face the holders, alongside Werder Bremen of Germany and Dutch side FC Twente.

Rafa Benitez will bring his new charges back to Britain, on a ground he struggled on with Liverpool.

Werder Bremen scraped through to the group stages via an extra-time victory over Sampdoria, but will have been weakened this summer by the loss of playmaker Mesut Ozil.

FC Twente were led to the Dutch title last season by Steve McClaren before his defection to Wolfsburg over the summer.

This proves an exciting group for Spurs fans, as they embark on their first journey in Europe’s greatest stage, with every chance of progressing into the knockout stage.
