Spurs linked with surprise Neville move

News | Sam Parker | January 11, 2011 at 12:31 pm

Strange reports today have linked Spurs with a move for Everton captain, Phil Neville.

The Daily Mail claims that talks are in an advanced stage for the former England defender, after Neville twice impressed against Gareth Bale this season.

Redknapp feels that his experience could prove vital in the Champions League run-in, whilst he would provide competition for Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who remains Spurs’ solitary left-back.

The transfer fee claimed to be on offer is £1.5million, whilst rumours of Vedran Corluka joining Liverpool have surfaced recently.

Clever move this by Harry get Neville cheap and sell Corluka dear and with the money buy Diarra and Saurez with the other money fron Keane .Good dealings by Harry and Dan the man and we get some leadership. It will help the younger players coming through too ,you have to look at the bigger picture here and not if you like Neville.
  2. I think the worlds going mad. If Neville joins Spurs it would go against all things I hold precious about my team. Nearly as bad as appointing George Graham manager

Phil Neville played at right back against us (unless Bale was playing on the right!?!)

Phil neville can play RB, LB and anywhere across midfield as he did for United for a long time. At United Gary Neville was right back and Phil left. Just cos he plays right for Everton doesn't mean thats all he can do. Very clever move by redknapp trying to bring experienced players in that have won it all before and can help our squad that have never challenged for title before. Make this happen please Harry
