Spurs are reportedly weighing up a £7.5million bid for West Ham goalkeeper, Robert Green.

Green is likely to hold a position in Fabio Capello’s England squad for the World Cup and is seen by Redknapp as a long-term replacement for Heurelho Gomes, who expressed a desire to return to Holland once his contract expires in two years time.

West Ham have had widely reported financial problems and would be willing to let Green go for such a price.

Redknapp still maintains faith in Gomes however, with the Brazilian likely to remain number one regardless, as he has been impressed by the improvements he has made under goalkeeping coach, Tony Parks

Another ‘keeper still linked with Tottenham is Ben Foster, whose future at Manchester United looks uncertain.

Green is no good for us, just look how many times Gomes saved us when we defend badly, if we had Green, we would be mid table, not 4th, what utter rubbish. we should go for the likes of watfords young keeper, who has time to improve on his side.

Put this in the bin he is crap and Robbo is a better keeper and we sold him.

  5. gettingthereslowly says:

our midfield needs sorting and the defence although they seem to have more fight about them lately in midfield someone like scoty parker and then maybe a central defender as ledley looks like he will have less and less games for us which is a great shame and a big loss for us

  6. Matt says:

Gomes is 10 tens better than Robbo, better shot stopper, commands his box and comes off his line not rooted too it.

I hope this story is rubbish. He’s fuck all useless, just like the rest of those pikeys. He’s going to be our weak link in the world cup as he’s a blunderer and cracks under pressure. Frightening thought having him between the sticks.

WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP ANYONE WHO THINKS GREEN WILL BE HAPPY TO SIT ON THE BENCH IS MAD , THE GUY IS A 1ST CLASS PREMIERSHIP KEEPER AND WILL NOT SETTLE FOR A PLACE ON THE BENCH HE`S GOING TO THE W / CUP FOR FECKS SAKE.

  12. Stoney says:

He’s only going to the world cup because he’s the best of what is quite frankly an apalling bunch of English keepers. 1st class prem keeper? The spammer’s lowly league position suggests otherwise.
