Spurs players take to Twitter after Barnsley win

It wasn’t the convincing win that we all had expected when Tottenham were drawn out of the hat in China to face Barnsley, but a win is a win and we’re through to the next round.

Both sides had their chances to score. Recent signing Fernando Llorente should have opened his account in the first half when he headed over the bar when he was completely unmarked from 10 yards out, but eventually, it was Dele Alli who managed to break the deadlock in the second half when he finished from close range from a Kieran Trippier cross.

Some Spurs players including Mousa Dembele, Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen took to Twitter after the match, here’s what they had to say.

We’ll find out who we face in the fourth round of the cup, following Manchester United’s match against Burton Albion this evening. Who would you like Spurs to draw in the next round?
