Julio Baptista’s agent has claimed that there is no truth in the rumours linking the striker with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Press reports had suggested a possible deal for the Roma striker could be done in January, but the former Arsenal player is set to remain in Italy.

“There is no truth in these reports claiming he is set for an exchange in January,” Herminio Menendez told romannews.eu.

“Julio is currently away with the national side. Everything he has said points to a future in Rome.”
