The Mail on Sunday are reporting that Spurs want Bolton defender Gary Cahill and is ready to offer full-back Alan Hutton in a cash-plus-player deal.

We urge you to take this one with a pinch of salt as although Redknapp has previously stated he is a fan of the central defender, he is happy with his defensive options.

Redknapp said last week: “I like the player, always have. But I am very happy with my defence.

“Michael Dawson and Ledley King have shown what they are all about by forcing their way into the England squad.”
