Supporters Club Profile: DC Spurs

Tell us about your Supporters Club

We are the official supporters group of Tottenham Hotspur for the Washington DC metro area. As such we are recognised by the club and listed on the THFC website. We were founded in 2007 and became official in the summer of 2011. We have about 400 members on our Facebook page, and we have regular watch party attendances of 20 to 60+ depending on the game/time of day etc

We were very involved in the visit of THFC to Baltimore in July 2012 when they played Liverpool at the M&T Bank stadium. A few of the members were invited pitch side as the team entered the field. DC Spurs were also presented with a jersey signed by the entire team by THFC ambassadors Steffen Freund and Tony Parks during a Q&A session for local Spurs fans. The jersey has since been framed and hangs in our chosen bar and home, The Irish Channel Pub, 500 H St NW, Washington DC. The Irish Channel Pub website has us listed as the official home of DC Spurs http://www.irishchannelpub.com/content/sports-affiliation.  DC Spurs also has a website that is designed and run by our very own creative board member, Jim Malloy, and has been recognised by Adobe as a must visit site http://www.dcspurs.com/.

DC Spurs has 14 members visiting the UK to attend the NLD derby on March 2, 2013. This Sunday (January 20th)  we are partnering with DC Utd who will have representatives joining our watch party vs. Man Utd for DC Utd ticket giveaways and freebies in preparation for the new MLS season starting in March.

A solid group of Spurs fans that have built a great Spurs loving community in the heart of the nations capital city. New members can get in contact in multiple ways:-
