It’s a typical Sunday as the papers and media outlets are full of rumours concerning life at our beloved Tottenham Hotspur today.
First up is Christian Benteke. Apparently we are unwilling to pay the £32.5million to trigger the big Belgian’s contract release clause to Aston Villa, but instead are considering offering Andros Townsend as a makeweight in a deal plus around £25million thrown in for good measure.
Not a day goes by without a mention of Hugo Lloris’ future at Spurs. Today it’s a case of who will replace the Frenchman should he depart N17.
The two contenders according to the press are Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas and Stoke’s Asmir Begovic.
Casillas would cost £8million according to reports and would only move if Lloris does indeed leave.
Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is being linked with a loan move to us. I would be very surprised if they would allow a player to help us out.
Finally, finishing on a positive. According to the Mirror Nabil Bentaleb is on the verge of signing a new five year deal at the club. In our eyes that’s as important as a new signing!
