Tottenham Hotspur vs Peterborough United – The Teams

Harry Redknapp has made a number of changes for Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Cup tie against Peterborough United.
In come Alan Hutton, Gareth Bale, Sebastien Bassong, Niko Kranjcar and Robbie Keane for Vedran Corluka, Ledley King, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Aaron Lennon and Peter Crouch.
Spurs: Gomes; Hutton, Bassong, Dawson, Bale; Modric, Huddlestone, Palacios, Kranjcar; Keane, Defoe.
Subs: Alnwick, Corluka, Naughton, Giovani, Rose, Crouch, Pavlyuchenko.
Posh: TBA

tbh thats a pretty strong side, defoe in there plus our 2 attacking croations
would be good to see how kranjcar and modric work with each other, should be a good game for us

Why not Dos Santos from the start? Put Modric in the middle with Palacios and Dos santos with Kranjcar on the wings. Can’t believe he put Hutton instead of Naughton. Well just hope we do well enough in the first half so we can bring on Naughton, Dos Santos and Pav in the 2nd.
This is a strong team but i will be more interested in Keane.How will he play and is he interested enough has he got the hunger back.I feel this could be our biggest problem in the second half of the season.If we don’t buy another striker and sell Pava then i feel we will drop out of the top 6 as we will not have enough and too much will rest on Defoe.If he gets a lay-off we are in big trouble.We also need cover for Gomes as the rest of our keepers are top up to the move up yet.I think with talk of the pool making 3-4 signings we must also look at our weak spots and do the same and left back,keeper,defensive midfielder and striker are all postions we could be weak in come the second part of the season.
NK’s looking like a steal at 2m especially when you consider boateng cost pompey 4m
A good 4-0 win but still worried about the strikers and it could be the old spurshing we get so near to a great team then f**k it up because we won’t go get the final piece to the puzzel.Hope i am wrong but time will tell but if we are not going to play Bentley,Hutton,Pava,and Jenas then lets flog them and get better in place of them and lets take that 4th spot this could be our best chance since the famous stomach gate.
