Darren Bent - Header

Sunderland defender Michael Turner has warned Tottenham that Darren Bent is looking for revenge against his former side.

Bent has scored 20 Premier League goals this season since his move from White Hart Lane and could dent Tottenham’s chances of a top four finish when Spurs travel to the Stadium of Light this weekend.

Turner said: “To score that many goals in a team which has been at the wrong end of the table is very impressive.

“He’s had a great season and I think there’s more to come from him. He’s always looking to score in the next game, especially so on Saturday.”

Bent told us he was out for revenge when he came to the lane earlier in the season, but ended up looking like a lost puppy. One of the worst first touches in world football and mentally fragile as a flower. Notice how many unimportant goals against lesser opposition he scores, then where is he in the important games? Good club professional but there is no technical class about the man.

I mean a prem footballer who gets noticed more for what he twitters than does on the pitch. 0-2 Tottenham C!O!Y!S!

So there is no quote from Bent or Turner saying he wants revenge.
Ed, when he came to the lane he did NOT say he was out for revenge, and if i remember correctly, he's scored against Arsenal liverpool and one of chelsea or ManU.
By the way im a spurs fan.

Make no mistake we will be paying close attention to Mr Bent but the fact still remains we are the form team our league positions tells you this certainly we won’t be taking the black cats lightly. I fancy Bale and Bentley to give them a torrid time along with Pav and Defoe and Hudd and Wilson in midfield plus our back four its hard to see us losing unless we play like a complete bunch of bell ends. 3-1 spurs with us looking good doing it lillywhitetilidie.
