(Video) Major milestone completed on south stand

Another major milestone has been completed on the new Spurs stadium this evening with important work being undertaken on the single tier south stand.

The two giant ‘trees’ which support the south stand have been the subject of more work with a major piece of steelwork being fitted with the height of the stand now nearly at full height.

The south stand will hold 17,000 seats and is set to be the biggest single tier stand in Europe. The inspiration for it comes from Borussia Dortmund’s single tier ‘yellow wall’. The total capacity of the stadium will be 61,559, overtaking the 60,000 Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium holds
