(Video) Serge Aurier scores bizarre first goal for Spurs

It looked like it was going to be yet another frustrating 45 minutes of football for Tottenham, until Serge Aurier stepped up with a bizarre first goal for the club.

The left-back picked up the ball on the right flank and after being challenged whilst attempting a cross, saw the ball head goal wards and loop over the head of the helpless Matthew Ryan.

The ‘home’ side had the better opportunities to open the scoreline against the Premier League newcomers up until Aurier’s goal. Erik Lamela and Son had both gone close.

With the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United currently winning their respective matches, the pressure is on Tottenham to also get three points to keep their hopes of a top four finish and another Champions League campaign next season alive.
