Tottenham Hotspur have today released a new video highlighting the progress made of the south stand of the new stadium.
The south stand will be an impressive single tier stand in the same fashion as Borussia Dortmund’s famous yellow wall. The structure will be supported by two huge ‘trees’, which are unique to our new stadium having been designed so the venue’s sliding pitch can move underneath the south stand unimpeded.
The trees are a unique architectural feature supporting the back of the new single-tier South Stand including the rakers that carry the terraces and compression ring from which the stadium roof us suspended.
17,500 fans will be located within the South Stand, making it the biggest single tier stand in Europe. Take a look at the video below and check the progress out for yourself.
