Villa to offer Young new deal

Aston Villa are prepared to offer Spurs target Ashley Young a new deal at Villa Park.

Young has long been linked with a switch to White Hart Lane, but the Midlands club are prepared to improve Young’s contract in order to ward off suitors.

With James Milner set to move to pastures new, Young becomes Villa’s key player and Randy Lerner is desperate to hold onto him.

A lot will depend on the club’s pursuit of Stephen Ireland, who Spurs also hold an interest in currently.

    we arent signing young,we arent signing bellamy, we arent signing gallas, we arent signing remy, we arent signing ireland, we arent signing pletikosa, we arent signing richards, we arent singing anybody this summer lads.if we was INTENT on stamping down top 4 and wanting to do well in the champions league we would have splashed decent money on better players.we have been over lazy this window and we will fail in any signings now..put it this way

    richards price on july 1st – 8 million
    richards price on august 20th and onwards – 16 million and up

    weve left our transfers so late into the window now that anybody we go for is going to be too expensive..so we are now going to struggle during the season because once we lose a few games on the trot we are going to see that,YES, we should have been more aggressive this transfer window

    sorry boys but the mighty spurs are back to the 7th-9th place this season because our complete lack of enthusiasm this window

    bit negative champ. the squad got we're it did last year through teamwork, not big money signings. go support city or chelsea if thats what you want
