Walker-Peters up against Mbappe and Dembele for award

Congratulations to Kyle Walker-Peters!

The Tottenham right-back has been nominated for the Golden Boy award, which is given to the best Under-21 player in the world on an yearly basis.

Walker-Peters made his full Premier League debut for Spurs against Newcastle United at St James’ Park in the opening game of the season and made headlines after being named Man of the Match in the 2-0 win.

Unfortunately for KWP, he’s up against some tough competition which makes it practically impossible for him to scoop the award.

The past four winners of the award are Renato Sanches, Anthony Martial, Raheem Sterling and Paul Pogba – while Lionel Messi, Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero have also collected the gong in the past.

Hopefully the nomination can motivate KWP to push Kieran Tripper and Serge Aurier for the right-back position.
