Zenit St Petersburg won’t sign Roman Pavlyuchenko after Spurs snubbed a loan swoop.
The striker is fourth choice at White Hart Lane under Harry Redknapp but appears as if he won’t be returning to Russia.
Zenit president Alexander Dyukov said: “The management were considering the loan of Roman Pavlyuchenko for six months to the summer in order to decide whether to buy him.
“Unfortunately, this proposal did not suit Tottenham. We would not like to acquire the player now.”
