White Hart Lane - Spurs Football News

Arsene Wenger has denied reports of a tunnel bust-up with Tottenham assistant coach Clive Allen after our 2-1 win in the north London derby.

The Arsenal boss brushed off a confrontation with Spurs coach Clive Allen at the final whistle, which appeared to centre on Wenger’s apparent refusal to shake his hand.

Wenger said: “Nothing happened. I shook the hands of the Spurs manager Harry Redknapp and his assistant. How many people do I have to shake hands with? There were no words exchanged. “

Met Clive in San Jose a few years back. He was genuine, outgoing and always walked around with a smile on his face. He’s a man of honor and I 100% back him.

Sour grapes as usual from Arsene.

Just seen sky sports news seems every EX Gunner wants to comment on the subject of the first goal, Take the ref's decision and get on with your lives, also how many bad tackles on Modric and no booking for any one of them.
Wenger has always been a bad loser and never congrats the winners on TV.

    I agree with Wenger.

He shook hands with Redknapp. That’s enough.

No I dont think Wenger is a sore loser in this case.

Allen just looked a berk forcing an angry handshake.

    Embarrassing for Allen.

it doesnt really matter how many hands you shake. It's called respect and professionalism, which Wanger wasn't blessed with. Maybe it's a french thing? Just like if one of his players scored as VDV did, he wouldn't have seen it. And if one of his players was sent off as he says VDV should have been he would be wingeing from now til doomsday. The twat.

Wenger may be a ood manager but he has no idea of sporting gestures, dignity or having enough moral fibre to congratulate or acknowledge an opponent who has beaten you no matter how disappointed you may be.Someone said it may be a French thing that,s possible but it is most certainly an Arsenal thing .They seem to have an arrogance about them and think they are entitled to win all games. It could be that deep down they know they are not as good as they like to tell everybody they are.No matter how many times they practice in the mirror telling themselves they are wonderful, they know the truth.
