Wenger hits back at Clive Allen

Arsene Wenger has hit back at Spurs coach Clive Allen by pointing out that there is no rule stipulating that he has to shake hands with every member of an opposing coaching staff.
“I shook the hand of the manager and the assistant manager,” he said.
“How many hands do I have to shake? Is there a prescription?
“No words were exchanged and if the story of the game is Clive Allen, you must ask him. He wanted to make himself the story, yes.”

His perpetual rose tinted slant on every decision has itself become a cliché. Ekotto apparently 'Pushed heavily' Sagna who fell unfortinately. Van der Vaart 'Should have been sent off' ???? etc etc etc.
Trouble is that his minset has permeated the playing side to the point that nobody really wants to be involved with Arsenal at the moment. Star player are queuing to leave and the trademark self belief the side once has has been replaced with trepidation and doubts. This all stems from the, once brilliant, manager who simply cannot adapt to accommodate the arrival of bigger fish in the Premiership and the need to insert some steel (preferably British) into the spine.
As a Spurs fan, of course, I'm enjoying the discomfort. Truth is Arsenal aren't a bad side, they are just not receiving the leadership on and off the pitch that they need.
