With Tottenham Hotspur booking their place in the group stage of the Champions League, we’ve taken a look at who we could face in our group.

We are in Pot 3 of the draw, so we will face one of each of the following Pots in our group.

    Excellent performance by our boys. From group 1 I'd like to have Milan or Lyon, from group 2 it would be better to face SV Werder Bremen, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica or Panathinaikos and from group 4 anyone would be ok.

    Realistically we're playing for second place in the group, so from that perspective we want a group with the strongest possible first seed and then as weak as possible second and fourth seeds. The logic being that the first seed will likely beat all other teams and we'd then in essence looking to top a three team group. Based on that the teams I'd like to get are: Barca, Panathinaikos, and Zilina.
    Seven or eight points would probably be enough to qualify from that group, i.e. home wins against Panathinaikos and Zilina and away draws. Barca should do some of the work for us by beating both teams home and away.

    Great just to be there, it's our first time so we shouldn't expect too much. Qualification to the second round would be great, but we don't have too much experience so don't crucify the lads if they fall short.

    That said, we're a good cup side so why not dream a little!
