Spurs defender Jonathan Woodgate is facing a fight to save his career after Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp revealed his latest treatment in Australia for a long-term groin problem has been a failure.

Woodgate travelled to Australia in March to have another operation but the problem has not been cured.  The 30-year-old has also spent time in America, which also hasn’t worked out.

Harry Redknapp said: “We’re giving him every chance but it has been a year and it’ll be another year if he has to have an operation.”
