Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to hold onto fourth place with a win against Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Will Harry Redknapp risk Wilson Palacios who is on 9 bookings for the season?  Should Crouch start?

    Same here. I just worry sometimes about little Modders in the middle being a bit lightweight against teams which like to wall up the midfield.

    Since Bale is stronger when attacking from the back, I would play Bale as fullback and Ekotto as left midfield. This would enable Bale to attack from the back and then Ekotto takes his place as full back.
    This can be done every time we start an attack. Otherwise I would play the same formation as mentioned above.

    If BAE is infront of Bale, there won’t be eoungh space for Bale to do his runs upfront.

    I think we should be bold ads its a home game,put Bale at LB and Rose LM This way Bale does get the chance to attack the flanks

    The line-up you have suggested is most likely what HR will go with and we will face the same issues as against Fulham and will look just as ineffective going forward. No link-up between MF and strikers, so the strikers will again be on their own which results in no service. Draws aren’t what we need if we’re going to get top 4. We need to score. As Noel suggested, Bale is much better coming from LB, so why mess with what works. Modric is also much more useful coming off the left, so why bury him in DMF where his effect on the game becomes defensive instead of offensive. Blackburn will just double up the coverage on Bale as Sam knows that Kranjcar’s pace is easy enough to deal with and there is no threat of overlap from Corluka. Replace Tom and leave everything else the way it was when we finally started scoring again.

    Gomes-Corluka, Dawson, Bassong, Bale, Palacios, BAE, Kranjcar, Modric, Pav, Defoe

    Back 6 are the same as the past three months. Left side is proven, effective, and does not allow double coverage as Bale and Modric can now exploit it. BAE is solid defensively, and can distribute the ball forward. Why overcomplicate things. Kill the game off early, get Palacios out, put BAE in his place and Livermore where Palacios was. Rose in for Kranjcar to give more pace on the right and more defensive worries for Sam, and Eidur in for Defoe, to rest the hamstring, but also to sit a little deeper, further clogging up the MF.
