Zola looks to make Hutton a Hammer

West ham are eyeing up a move to take Alan Hutton to Upton Park, according to Sky Sports.

Hutton has struggled to make an impact on the first team this season, with Vedran Corluka having made the right-back slot his own and the Scotsman has been linked with a move away from Spurs.

Sunderland have also been credited with an interest, but West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola has put the right back on top of his shopping list.

West Ham have been lacking on the right hand side of defence after Lucas Neill left in the summer, and Hutton is deemed to be the ideal recruit so they are not forced to play Julien Faubert.

The Hammers may well offer players in part-exchange, as their finances will not allow them to cover the cost of such a transfer.
