A disappointing result and performance against Wolves requires an immediate response from Spurs. With no Champions League concerns, we could see a freer, more relaxed performance this Sunday. The last time Tottenham went two games without scoring they got back scoring with a couple against Leeds.

Win-Draw-Win

Bolt0n – 12/5
Draw – 12/5
Spurs – 11/10

They did let in two of their own but in three FA Cup matches this season, Redknapp’s side have scored nine goals. If you’re a believer in patterns then it could be worth backing Tottenham to score 2 or more goals at evens, or to keep their average going with 3 or more at 7/2. Another pattern to back that up is Tottenham scoring two or more goals against Bolton in their last three meetings.

Interesting. Although he hasnt had the greatest success against Wanderers, the last time the two teams met in a cup competition, he did bag a brace, albeit with extra time to get it. The diminutive striker has scored more than one goal a few times this season and if Crouch can take advantage of the absence of the unfortunate Gary Cahill, Defoe could find himself presented with some good chances. Hes 9/2 to score first, 28/1 to score a hat-trick, if youre feeling very confident hell have his shooting boots on,  5/2 to score anytime and Spurs to win the game and 2/1 to out-score Kevin Davies. Be warned, Davies has scored three in the last two games between these sides and is always a handful. As long as the centre-halfs dont allow him to win balls cleanly and the midfielders track their men on to any knockdowns, his threat will be largely neutralised. Bolton havent scored in three games themselves, theyve a habit of conceding goals at home, and that was with Cahill in the defence. There were signs against Man City that Coyle was starting to have an effect on Boltons style of play and the extra freedom of playing in a cup could make them dangerous opposition. Containing Davies when the ball goes long and controlling the play in midfield is the key. With plenty of tackles going in, Palacios should start to help Spurs in the ball, if he can supply Modric with possession, the Croatian can play the kinds of balls through which will really test the cohesion of the Bolton backline.

First Goalscorer

Kevin Davies – 7/1
Tamir Cohen – 18/1
Fabrice Muamba 40/1

Ledley King – 33/1

Harry Redknapp will be looking for that response at the Reebok Stadium and as long as he gets it, Spurs look a good bet to book a place in the next round within the time allowed at 11/10. If youre feeling greedy, Spurs -1 goal is 16/5.
