VIDEO: AVB & Holtby press conference ahead of FC Sheriff

Tottenham Hotspur prepared to face FC Sheriff on Wednesday in Tiraspol, Moldova, knowing a win could clinch a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League – if other results go their way.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas and midfielder Lewis Holtby faced the press and both are focused on leaving Moldova with all three points. However AVB is wary of a tough test against the home side and with a place in the next round up for grabs, there is big motivation for victory.

Lewis Holtby said: “Every opponents, every game is serious to take on. We keen to win this game. We came to get another three points to make it nine in total that is main objective. We just want to win this game. That’s it.”

Andre Villas-Boas, Tottenham manager added: “The domination of this league is …. The experience of our winning team and winning … The influence is quite big. I think the play will be counter attacking football. We’re expect uneasy game, we’ll play with more motivation, this game probably give us more chances of qualifying and to give us to go away. And we expect difficult game.”

“It will be a case of that if we don’t approach the game seriously. As I sad we haven’t done that. So far this season and last season we played with a big motivation, because its our ambition to go through the competition. so I wouldn’t expect to … to do that. ”
