AVB: Kane form has delayed loan spell

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Harry Kane’s form has delayed any chance of the striker going out on loan.

The England Under-21 international scored our second goal in last night’s Capital One Cup tie against Hull City at White Hart Lane and also scored from the spot during the penalty shoot-out.

Kane has previously experienced loan spells at the likes of Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester but if he is to go out again, AVB wants guarantees in place that Kane is a regular in their side.

“I couldn’t be happier with Harry, so that has made us delay his (loan) move,” AVB told the press last night.

“He is doing extremely well in training.

“We have a lot of interest for Harry but if the next loan move happens, we need 100 per cent certainty that he (plays regularly).

“With the way he is training he has more of a chance of playing in those teams. But he’s doing enough to compete for his place here.”
