Benoit Assou-Ekotto seems to be enjoying life at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.

The Tottenham left-back moved on loan during the summer after appearing to be frozen out of first-team plans at White Hart Lane and admits that the opportunity to play under Harry Redknapp again was a massive lure.

Injuries to Kyle Naughton and Danny Rose have seen Jan Vertonghen playing at left-back, even if the big Belgian hasn’t been delighted at the decision.

Whether Disco Benny still has a future at Spurs remains to be seen, he is known to still watch games at the Lane from the executive boxes.

He told the official QPR website: “I’m enjoying being here.

“I love working with Harry. He was the main reason I came here.

“The supporters have been great to me as well. It’s really important for us to feel the love and support of our fans.

“They are our 12th man, so it’s important that we give them something to shout about.”
