Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Josko Gvardiol is set to join Premier League rivals Chelsea next summer, according to German news outlet Bild.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are already expected to seal a move for RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku and it now appears he will be joined by his team-mate.
Journalist Alasdair Gold claimed earlier this summer that Gvardiol, along with Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, were Tottenham’s two main central defensive targets ahead of the new season (Football London).
However, Spurs had to settle for bringing in Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona instead.

If Chelsea are intent on a deal for Gvardiol, it seems Spurs will have to set their sights elsewhere with Todd Bohley already proving he is prepared to spend big since taking over from Roman Abramovich.
Bastoni is a good alternative but has not had the best of starts to the season at Inter to date. Lenglet is nothing more than a stopgap until a suitable target arises for Conte’s side.
