Report: Croatian superstar set for Spurs summer switch

Ivan Perisic is set for a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Tuttosport.

The Croatian is currently at Italian side Inter Milan and featured against Spurs on both occasions when the two sides met in this season’s Champions League group stage.

Spurs became the first side in Premier League history to go a full season without signing any players but are rumoured to already be planning for the upcoming summer.

Perisic has only scored three goals and recorded two assists in Serie A this season in his 20 appearances.

The 30-year-old will be well known by every football fan in England as it was his goal which saw Croatia draw level in the World Cup semi-final.

Throughout the January transfer window, Perisic was linked with a move to Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal but it is claimed the winger was holding out for a move to Spurs.

As a typical wide-man it is not specifically a position in which Spurs lack options with Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura all fighting for a place in the starting XI.
