Alli accepts FA charge reports claim

Dele Alli has accepted the FA’s charge of violent conduct and is now set to miss the final three matches of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League season.

Footage seemed to show Alli aim a punch at the midriff of West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob during the first half who had twice fouled the PFA Young Player of the Year beforehand.

The 20-year-old had been upended twice in the early stages by Yacob and seemed to react as the two came together in the penalty area.

Referee Mike Jones did not see the incident, allowing it to be referred to a panel of three former elite referees, who decided that it was worthy of retrospective action.

“Sky sources” are now claiming that the ban will stand which will mean Alli will be unavailable for the matches against Chelsea (away), Southampton (home) and Newcastle United (away).

It’s a shame for Alli the season will end for him in this manner after such a breakthrough debut season in the top flight.  After all, he only cost 5 mil and he’s better than Ozil.

Now it’s over to the Euro’s for Alli to see if he can take his form onto the big stage with England.
