The lads travel to Selhurst Park for an always-testing meeting against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Eagles ground is a place that holds good recent memories for Christian following his superb strike from distance proved the difference in a 1-0 win last season.
We go back there unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions and with just one loss in the last 19 having come through Premier League matches against United, Liverpool and Arsenal and our Champions League Round of 16 first leg at Juventus with flying colours.
“We started the season well, had a dip and now we’ve really built up again over the last few months,” :Christian told the clubs website .”There is still everything to play for in the Champions League and getting seven points from the games against United, Liverpool and Arsenal was a great achievement and gives us a lot of confidence going forward.
He added: “To come from 2-0 down against Juventus felt like a win, somehow. In the dressing room afterwards it felt like a big achievement, but we know we have to professional at Wembley because the second leg will be a different game.”
Our current run of form seems to have been a theme of every season in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino the piece adds.
In his first season we lost one in 10 between 6th December-7th February, in 2015-16 we won six on the trot between 16th January and March 2nd and then of course last season, we won six on the trot between 14th December-11th February and then nine between 26th February-5th May.
“I heard something about that a few weeks ago,” said Christian. “Someone asked ‘are you going to go on a run now?’ and apparently, we are!
He added: “I don’t know what it is about this time of year but it’s probably all about how we train – we work hard, especially in pre-season and we really pick up this time of year. All I know is the team feels very confident and we’re going in the right direction.”
